Rev. Amanda Willhite

Preaching, Education, and Pastoral Care

Amanda Willhite is a native of Sumner County and is grateful to be serving a local congregation at home. She and her husband Evan live in her late grandparents’ house, which is a half-mile from her childhood home.

Amanda was educated in the Baptist tradition at both Carson-Newman University (B.A.) and Wake Forest University Divinity School (M.Div.). As a bi-vocational pastor, Amanda also delights in homeschooling her four children.

When she’s not writing sermons or keeping house, Amanda loves to read and garden. Some of her favorite authors include Wendell Berry, Mary Oliver, Rick Bragg, and Charles Dickens.
