Tim Rayborn has been pastor of Believers Baptist Fellowship since 1998. He has been in Christian ministry for 40 years. His wife is Jean Roberson and he has a son, Ryan, and a daughter, Rikki. His informal teaching style focuses on God's love and grace. Prior to his retirement, he was also Marketing Director for Mary, Queen of Angels Assisted Living in Nashville, TN.
Tim began his life of ministry in 1968 as Associate Pastor & Minister of Youth in Monticello, MS. He took two years away from this position to serve as English Language Pastor and student worker at the University of Guam. He was a Missionary Journeyman with the Foreign Mission Board, SBC. After returning home, he continued as Associate Pastor & Minister of Youth until 1981.
In 1981, he became Pastor of Monticello Baptist Church in Monticello, MS where he served for four years, until 1985. From there, he was called to be Pastor of First Baptist Church in Haynesville, LA and served there for three years, until 1988. Before coming to Tennessee, he was Pastor at Metairie Baptist Church for five years, until 1993.
In 1993, Tim was called to serve in Tennessee. He served as Senior Pastor at First Baptist Church in Goodlettsville, TN for five years, until 1998.
In 1998, he accepted the position as Pastor of Believers Baptist Fellowship. Believers Baptist Fellowship is a small and loving congregation. Pastor Tim's goal is to use his education, experience, and love for God and people to fulfill his calling by serving God in the local church.
Tim's education includes Bachelor of Arts, Master of Divinity, and Doctor of Theology. He is a Licensed Assisted Living Administrator in the State of Tennessee.
